Chronicals of my right brained life: January 2012

So Im a sephora-holic, so much so that I've had to ban myself from ordering stuff from them for a bit, because my cosmetic bag can't handle it.

These are some of my essentials that I keep in my bag I take to work. Now I'm one of those girls who likes to be prepared for every possible occasion, if I could keep a battery powered hair straightener and curling iron in my purse at all times I would, along with several outfit changes, flats, boots, and a pair of heels. But then I'd have to lug a suitcase everywhere, and it might be a good cardio workout, but I would look like a hopeless fool. So I try, keyword, try, to put some of my essentials in my work bag, in case I go out after work, or in case the wind is super strong and blows all of the makeup off of my face.

This bottle is little and powerful and I love it. Cha Cha tint is the new version ofPosietint by Benefit which is a great cheek and lip stain. Posietint is the original, which is a very pretty deep fushia color. Because I tend to have a more olive skin complexion I always go for shades with a peach or apricot tint; that is why I was so excited when the came out with the cha cha. It gives that perfect warm glow, and blends well into the skin unlike blush which sometime tends to look caked on. The term " a little goes a long way" definitely applies here. I dab a little on the apples of my cheek and bam a perfect rosy complexion. I love the cha cha because, I think a coral apricot shade is flattering on every skin shade, in compliments my skin tone when I'm tan in the winter and pale in the winter. It lasts well too. I pop a little on before I leave work, so my makeup still looks fresh on my public transportation commute home.

I can not express how much I love this product and would put one in every one of my purses if I could. It's a nourishing lip treatment. This cute little tube leaves my lips nourished and happy. This is the clear one but they also make several tinted ones which I love. They look bright but come out in a perfectly sheer tint. It also has spf15 in it so I keep it in my purse year round. It can get a little mushy in the heat though, so I I take it to the beach I put in in my cooler. The Fresh products are great because they're all natural, and this contains nourishing vitamins for your lips and no harsh chemicals. True to their name, it has a light fresh scent which I love, a light a lemon-y sugary that literally makes my lips smile as I apply it.

So I Guess I have a lot of lip items in my purse. I got this gloss over the summer, it was actually in my easter basket, yes I'm 23 and I still get an easter basket. I used to work at an Aveda salon so I am quite familiar with how wonderful and natural their products are. I have always been a fan of their lip glosses, they have great shades, are nourishing, not too sticky, and this one has a great tantalizing minty scent. This is their Nourish-mint Rehydrating Lip Glaze, in Sunkissed Melon. I love this shade and got so many compliments on it. Its a perfect peachy apricot shade, that like I said before, is so flattering on any skin shade.

Lastly, this little guy is a great lotion that I keep in my purse because of its great scent. It's ARBONNE so you know that its all natural. It has lemon and coriander for vitality and happiness. This is part of my 2:30 pm wake me up regime, a grande caramel macchiato double shot of expresso and lather on some of this its light and not too potent, but still refreshing.
