As a fashion design major, you would think I would be aware of the fact that pantone issues out a color of the year award. Well I wasn't so I was quite surprised when I was reading over my yahoo news and a
color was in the headlines. Tangerine Tango is the color of the year. I red orange color that I posted in the post above, because I made several sets around this happy hue. I immediatley thought of tang..the drink.. but its a more sophisticated orange with notes of red that make it pop playfully in any outfit. I clipped these images from a washington post article. The runway shots are from Prada's Spring 2012 collection. I'm in love with the dress, they call it oasis orange, so I'm not quite sure if its tangerine tango but maybe oasis orange can win next year or audacious apple, or watermelon waltz. I love pantone, I'm a color freak like that, I love looking at their color trend reports, mainly for the images, so you would think that I would have known about their coveted color award. I think I would just love to name them, like the OPI polish name job, i lovee naming things, so I think these would be ideal proffessions for me.
