Burberry Brit coat (see more fur coats)
As a new englander it has been my goal, after the monstracity of cold and snow that came down upon us last winter, to find a warm, but fashionable coat for this winter. Especially since I commute, and spend many hours a week outside..standing..at a bus stop. I found many candidates online but, with this I need need need to try it on. I want a puffy coat that doesn't make me look like I'm wrapped in a sleeping bag, but still keep my toasty. So I headed to Macy's wear I found a few that seemed fashionable and semi-warm. Most were only 60% down, So I average that as me staying 65% warm with all my layers, not acceptable in the winter months. So of course on my poly search I cam across this gorgeour Burberry coat.

The other coat I liked when I tried it on was this one: kenneth cole reaction coat
very cute, and only semi puffy and seemed pretty warm. Although I think Macy's should have a winter simulator booth so I can test out the coat.
Then I came across these immaculately made coats in a store: Wellensteyn
The pictures don't really do then justice. I would say that they are like the german version of monte claire. Their coats are so detailed and well constructed, and warm! I tried on the darling jacket in black, although I wasn't too keen on the fur trimmed sleeves, but you can tuck them in! I knew immediatley that this is the jacket I need to be wearing at the bus stop in sub degree tempuratures. It's not as cute as the Burberry on Kenneth Cole but still fashionable and wayyy more practical... its windproof which is up there in my book because just this morning I was cursing how much I hate the wind. I still might try and make a belt to go with it because I really like the cynched waist look with puffy coats like these.
But if you are looking for a high quality coat for men too! definitly give them a try.
