dad's christmas present

This is the one I did for my dad, it's in water color, I did it last night, the water/horizon area came out a little sloppy but I was doing this around 11/12 last night after m parents went to bed and I heard water but I assumed at first that my mom was showering upstairs and then as it continued for a while figured it was raining, after about an hr, I'm almost done with my painting, I gotup to get a clean cup of water from the kitchen  and realized the sound of gushing water was coming from the kitchen? not the dishwasher.. not the freezer... then i realized it was coming from the basement, i open the door and it sounded like a waterfall in my basement, so i got my mom up to asses the problem, yep a pipe burst, she got my dad up who braved the gushing cold water in the basement to try and fix it but since he couldnt figure it out we had to shut the water off.. awesome... but if i hadnt been awake and heard it the whole basement probaly would have flooded, being the hoarder that I am, i keep a great deal of my fabric and stuff I have yet to unpack from school in the basement so I had a mini panic attack thinking of all of it being engulfed in water, but it didnt happen and I'm so grateful and in a way i think it may have been shi(the dog) I like to think that she's still with us in spirit, i mean if she had been alive i probaly would have gotten up to let her out and notice it so i think it was her way of still helping out, yes its a far stretch i know, but thats what I'm gonna stick with, so needless to say i kinda got distracted with this more, cus i had to hide it under the table cus it was still wet and i didnt want my dad to see it

I've had this and the other picture for a while, its from sandyneck beach, summer of 2007, and ive always loved this picture here, the colors of the sunset on sandyneck are my favorite
