well as most sewers can attest to , I tend to have sewing needles and pins pretty much everywhere, half the time I don't even know how they get where they do, not safe I know, especially since when I do need one I can never find one, and then I go to get into bed and i see a sewing needle lying next to my pillow.... so this lovely sewing needle I found all by its lonesome on the coffee table, figured I'de be less likely to lose it this way
